I thought you can only be a martyr if you die in action? like killing innocents? Or fellow Muslims? or in some remote cases, actually fighting? But no, if you pop off having a heart attack while shagging a bird, then you can also be a martyr..

how amusing

btw, what happens to the virgins in Heaven? Do they still get allocated to heart attack martyrs? Or is a lesser allocation given? How about if you are called as a martyr but die in a car accident? I am sure when the houris talk to each other after the bonkathon, they must be complaining about how any odd sod riff raff appear and want their services.

I am sure there must be a pecking order. Actual war, you get 72 of the birds, blow up some innocents, you get 32, blow yourself up while making a bomb, you get a safety manual, die of a heart attack or car accident, you share some unwanted sheep? or something?

A bizarre Swedish decision

This is a rum situation. So a migration board employee maintains a pro-Israel blog in his SPARE time. He then goes on sabbatical and when he comes back, he finds himself to be demoted. So he sues. The district court orders the Migration Board to reinstate him. The Migration Board flouts this order and instead of reinstating him, offers him money. Mind you, Sweden has notified Hamas as a terrorist organisation. So we have 3 arms of the Swedish Government operating in rather different perspectives. Freedom of Speech? god no, lets just ignore all that. Very bizarre.

Israel should be ashamed of itself of doing this to orphans

This is literally outrageous. How can the Israeli army do this to orphans? And even if it is a front for Hamas, so bloody what? Is the Israeli army going to take care of the orphans, you blithering idiots? No, who cares for the children?

All this to be taken with a grain of piquant salt!!!

Hamas man dies in likely 'work accident' at Gaza training camp

Heheheh, this was funny, work accident indeed! We need some guys from health and safety departments working with Hamas :)

A Hamas militant on Friday was killed and two others were wounded in an explosion apparently caused by a "work accident" at a training camp run by the militant group in Gaza.
On Thursday, a similar incident occurred when
two members of Hamas' armed wing died and another was wounded in a blast at a training base in the central Gaza Strip, after the men had been handling explosives.

Talk to Hamas, Israel

I spoke about Israel speaking to Hamas some time BACK. And now a group of Israeli academics and writers are urging the Israeli government to speak to Hamas. The Israeli government should listen. You need to turn enemies into friends.

All this to be taken with a grain of piquant salt!!!

Hamas and Kashmiri Militants say Buzz Off to Al Queda

Now this is quite amusing. As you would know, Al Queda has recently released a video about how they are going to target India and Indian embassies because they are bad boys and they are oppressing Muslims, yada yada yada.

The Kashmiri Jihadi groups have reacted rather badly to this statement of intent and have effectively told Al Queda to stay out of Kashmir. They have clearly said that there is no Al Queda presence in Kashmir and they would like to keep the independence struggle indigenous (big question marks on the independence bit, the struggle bit and the indigenous bit). Apparently an older local video also claimed to be from Al Queda and threatened previous bodily harm against the Indians, and the Hizbul Mujaheddin said that it was an Indian plot to discredit the Kashmiri struggle. So I wonder if this new video is supposed to be a vast Zionist, crusader, infidel Hindu plot? confusing.

But no, this has happened before. Al Queda tried to climb on top of the Palestinian bandwagon like most of the other Arab and Muslim groups do and exhorted Hamas to keep on fighting Israel. And Hamas smartly told them to stay away and keep away. While there are quite a lot of pointers on potential and vague links between Al Queda and Hamas, there isn't anything which is hard core confirmed on providing links between these two groups.

But the question arises, why are these two "resistance movements" telling Al Queda to go away and not bother them? Well, the main reason is that both these resistance movements have political aspirations and want to become legitimate governments. The Taliban government was enough of a scare story to know that you cannot run a modern state when you have these Al Queda goons running around like crazy in your territory and there is no way that the world will tolerate another Taliban state, in Kashmir or in Palestine. Hence, even though they might agree with Al Queda's aims, dance around when 9/11 happened, have shadowy links, or what have you, ostensibly, they will never ever let themselves be associated with Al Queda. The confirmation comes from the fact that Al Queda criticised Hamas for undertaking a political process! A political process necessitates compromise and moderation. You cant really go foaming and bellowing about jihad and revolution when you are having to worry about raising taxes to fix sewers or thinking about fixing potholes.

Why Hamas will win over Fateh

I have previously written about why Israel has to speak to Hamas, but this article points to 10 reasons why Hamas will eventually win over Fateh.

Quite an interesting read, one can quibble over #1, #2, and #4, specially #4 because I firmly believe that Hamas is wedded to violence but only a velvet glove covering an iron fist can handle Hamas.
