The Turkish-Islamic Union is the Solution to the "East Turkestan Question"

Once in a while, its good to wallow in conspiracy theories. Here's one which I came across recently. The best part is the map. Although how would this kind of political structure assist in the East Turkestan is not very clear. It is also not very clear as to why rest of the Islamic world will work with Turkey (remember Ataturk and how he is hated by rest of the Islamic world?). And the connection between Xinjiang and Turkey is very dubious indeed. And just what will China do in the meantime?

But sod all that, its funny...

The Jews as Contested Ground in Postmodern Conspiracy Theory

A fascinating paper on how Jews always seem to end up in conspiracy theory land. It is because of this reason that any other argument, even well argued, is generally looked upon suspiciously because it emanates from this morass of ignorant and stupid thinking across vast swathes of the world (and yes, in premier universities as well which clearly shows that you can join a university but there is no guarantee that you will gain a mind!). I quote the abstract:

Normally conspiracy theories remain at the margins of a culture. But when conspiracism moves from the margins to the center, and from passive responses to active ones-Nazis and communists in the twentieth century-it can produce convulsions of paranoia and violence that leave tens of millions dead. After World War II, Western culture appeared to have definitively marginalized conspiracy theory. And yet, at the turn of the twenty-first century, there has been an aggressive rise in (traditional) Muslim conspiracism, and a remarkable vulnerability to conspiracy theory in the West. In response to 9/11, a "postmodern" and politically-correct conspiracism has developed that reverses the normal pattern: it accuses "us" and exonerates "them." Thus highly self-critical Westerners acknowledge the accusations of paranoid jihadists. As always with modern conspiracy thinking, the Jews, especially the Zionists, stand at the center of the storm.

British Destabilize Africa:Food Riots Spread as Hunger Deepens

Check out this Executive Intelligence Review. It says, "The energetic British attempts to create chaos and famine in Kenya and Zimbabwe in Africa, take place against a background of worldwide hyperinflationary food price increases and sudden food shortages, which are threatening both to kill large numbers of people, and to bring down governments in the Third World. The developing potential food crisis and famine arise from decades of British and Brussels attacks on national food self-sufficiency, and outright food scarcity policies masked as "agricultural free trade."

hehehe, funny, eh? its not for executives, its for feeble minded pond life, its not intelligence, it is some words strung together without attribution or analysis and sure as hell it is not reviewing anything, but its very funny! :) welcome to conspiracy theories. I think Mbeki is reading this site to get his daily intelligence updates!

All this to be taken with a grain of piquant salt!!!

More Muslim Rage Boy syndrome!

Right after I talked about how rage boy syndrome around Eliot Spitzer (heard a good joke about that but might only be understandable by a Brit, "amazing drop for Spitzer, from attorney general to plain solicitor") and I get another email from the same person and this time referring to this link. Right, see? it was the Jews who had done it and to corroborate it, they spoke with "defence sources" who said the call girl ring was a front for Mossad. And Eliot was brought down because he went after money laundering people connected to Russian, Israeli and Wall Street people. And Mossad is running this?

Once it was funny, second time it is cause for concern (have you had your meds yet?) and third time it will be ignored.

Ahmadinejad is a Zionist Agent!!!! I have it confirmed from an email!

I had a rather interesting debate earlier on a list where this article was circulated. The article was so laughable, missing facts etc. that I found it very amusing, but unfortunately, it went down like a lead balloon. My comments on that when challenged that it was serious is :

#1 Oh! I didn’t realise there was a serious point to this, is there? Would love to hear that as I seem to have missed it. Lets see, some unsubstantiated rumours of him being a Zionist agent, some aspects relating to his politics, some aspects relating to his ministerial career, his wife, Royal, some more of his wife, some trips to morocco, links with Israeli state visits. I found the entire essay very amusing indeed. Obviously written with a tongue firmly in cheek, taking the mickey out of people. There are books out there about the great pyramids and Napoleon as well.

then I was told that there is a point that jews hate Iran. To which I replied

#2 Thanks for that, but I am again not seeing the connection between being a Jew and threatening Iran. See here for example: http://tinyurl.com/36hh59. Jews want to stay in Iran and love Iran. And threatening Iran has a long pedigree in French Foreign Policy. Its explicit support for Iraq is well known. Then again, Kouchner is a hard leftist and a member of a very august organisation who strangely enough, supported the invasion of Iraq. While Sarko didn’t, confusing or what?

Then I was told that I was insulting Muslims. So I responded:

I insulted the views of Canadian Muslims? How so? By laughing at the amusing logic of an Egyptian journalist writing about a French President in an Egyptian Weekly Newspaper about Iran, his wife, riots in France and then further discussing the reaction of Jews (both pro and cons) to Iran? Now I really do not see the connection. You are right mate J. The problem IS with my understanding!

And my final comment in response to probability of Sarko being an ex- Mossad agent was:

Thank you for your comment. I am not ruling out the fact that Sarko could be a Zionist agent. Anything is possible but whether it is probable or not has to be argued. What I found amusing was that the journo started well, and then veered off into a debate and discussion about his wife. What on earth is the connection between that? His personal life? Or why has his inclusion of Muslims in his own cabinet despite vociferous opposition been considered? Or his attempts to dramatically increase investments in the banaleius? Or his proposals to break apart the problems of employment of the black north African Muslims? And so on and so forth? If one has to argue that a President is a Zionist agent, then one has to do better than to point to somebody’s marital problems, exclude huge chunks of current French history (both political and economic), and so on and so forth. And why would we automatically believe that being Jews means that you are antithetical to Iran? I gave a counter example of Jews who love Iran. What exactly is the journalist trying to prove? But that is exactly why I think the journalist (being the international editor of a good Arab newspaper) wrote this in a sarcastic manner and taking the Mickey. Which journalist would write something while excluding so many blindingly obvious facts? No other explanation but that he was being sarcastic! :) That is why I said I found it amusing. But let us let it pass, if he meant it in earnest, then I am curious because it does not square with too many facts. If he meant it in amusement, then well, I chuckled. Have a great weekend folks!

Then again Indymedia seems to have published this story from that paragon of Journalistic Accuracy, PressTV (Its an Iranian Government Owned propaganda rag, i mean, it hired Yvonne Ridley, lol, how pathetic can you get???, and that tells you the standards of that outlet). That outlet, is not only staff challenged but is also linguistically challenged. It tried to translate this story from Le Figaro. Now, how on earth it managed to trace the Le Figaro story to saying that,

French daily Le Figaro has revealed the French leader once worked for the Zionist regime as a sayan, Hebrew for 'collaborator'. Ex-Mossad agent Victor Ostrovsky says sayans, who perform many roles, are Jewish citizens of other nationalities assisting Mossad. Le Figaro claimed that French police officials managed to keep secret a letter, which exposed Sarkozy's past participation in espionage activities for Mossad. The letter fixed Sarkozy's alleged spying activities as far back as 1983

All this hoo haa seems to be based upon an email sent from an internet cafe which has no corresponding proof or corroborating evidence. And THIS is what is getting people excited?
Well, I suppose conspiracy theorists will blame the zionists for a wrongful translation! :) (you can use this site to get a translation of the Le Figaro article)

BTW: I got a unsigned email from an internet cafe whichI am going to send to IndyMedia and Al Ahram that President Ahmadinejad is actually a Zionist agent because he is obviously taking Iran in a direction to be nuked and is ruining Iran's economy. Sufficient proof, eh?

All this to be taken with a grain of piquant salt!!!

America is going to down the tubes

I got this interesting email today. Too bad its completely false but you can see the attraction of such an email. Thus are conspiracy theories made and weak minds excited. Sprinkle some unconnected facts around the place, make it slightly difficult to check, throw in some numbers, and viola', people will believe it for years to come. In this case, this email has been circulating since 2000!! talk about weak minds, lol. and if not weak minds, then inability to research and check!

This is the most interesting thing I've read in a long time. The sad thing about it is, you can see it coming. I have always heard about this democracy countdown. It is interesting to see it in print. God help us, not that we deserve it.

How Long Do We Have?

About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier:

   "A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government."

   "A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury."

   "From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."

   "The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years"

   "During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:
   1. from bondage to spiritual faith;

   2. from spiritual faith to great courage;

   3. from courage to liberty;

   4. from liberty to abundance;

   5. from abundance to complacency;

   6. from complacency to apathy;

   7. from apathy to dependence;

   8. from dependence back into bondage"

   Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul,Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000 Presidential election:

   Number of States won by:
   Gore: 19
   Bush: 29

   Square miles of land won by:
   Gore: 580,000
   Bush: 2,427,000

   Population of counties won by:
   Gore: 127 million
   Bush: 143 million

   Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:
   Gore: 13.2
   Bush: 2.1

   Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Bush won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of this great country. Gore's territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..." Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

   If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegals and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

   If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message. If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

   Thanks for reading.
