Iran and Nuclear Power Plants – a look back in time

I have written about Iran’s nuclear ambitions before, but I found this advertisement on the web. Pretty interesting, eh? The Shah of Iran was a son of a bitch but he was an American son of a bitch, eh? So it was all right for him to make a nuclear power plant but not ok for the mullah’s, eh?

Just found it ironic and curious..

They have finally found WMD in Syria and Iran is to blame!!!!

See? see? the neo-cons were right, those Syrians and Iranians are up to no good and there is now incontrovertible evidence that they have actually used chemical weapons against soldiers of a NATO country. This is all because the Iranians were imperialistic powers waging war against the poor old defenceless NATO soldiers. Heinous crimes.

I think we need some demonstrations on the streets protesting against the use of chemical weapons against poor old innocent Romans who were simply undertaking resistance against the dastardly imperialistic Persians. What do you think?

Berlin hardens trade stance with Iran

Berlin seems to be turning up the heat on Iran. See here. I quote:

Germany is cracking down on business with Iran far more systematically than suspected, unpublished figures from the economics ministry showed on Monday.
The new data show a dramatic drop in export credit guarantees granted to German exporters doing business with Iran last year, and a steady drop in exports to the country since 2005.
Iran was only Germany’s 40th biggest export market in 2006, according to figures from the Federal Statistical Office, with exports to the country totalling €4.15bn. The Islamic Republic is Germany’s 75th biggest source of imports . But Germany has been the biggest exporter to the country for the past 30 years. Iranian experts think China could have taken its place last year.

Curious, what exactly is Germany exporting to Iran which costs that much? Remeber Germany has had some dealings with both Iraq and Iranian attempts to build a bomb!

All this to be taken with a grain of piquant salt!!!

Bangladesh seeks nuke help from Iran

Now why did I wince when I read this news story from Iran? A country which is, on average, 6 feet above sea level, the most corrupt country in the world, ruled by a half baked abortion of a government, buttressed by 2 parties lead by two shrieking harridans, surrounded with a rapidly increasing Islamist opposition and jehadi parties. And now Bangladesh wants to get a nuclear power plant from Iran? I hope this was diplomatic speak rather than a statement of intent!

Bangladesh is seeking Iran's help to build a nuclear power plant

Bangladesh is seeking Iran's assistance to build a nuclear power plant to ensure its future energy needs.

In a meeting with the Iranian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Hasan Farazandeh, the Bangladeshi Energy Minister, Tapan Chowdhury, called for Tehran's help in constructing a nuclear power plant.

Chowdhury said Bangladesh has received clearance from the International Atomic Energy Agency on the issue.

Bangladesh's limited gas resources have been estimated to end in 2012, therefore, the country's attempts to exploit nuclear energy are of vital importance to meeting its growing demand for energy.

Dhaka has also stressed the need for new oil refineries. The country's only refinery produces 1.2million barrels a year.
