Primary children blamed for 3,000 crimes

Just last night I was fuming about the stupidity of people who expect to promote children to new levels who are unable to read write and add up. And the reason that they give is that they will feel like failures. Well they ARE failures and being nice to them is making the problem worse.

Now I wake up to this report which states that primary school chilren are now blamed for 3000 crimes. I quote:

Police statistics show that 2,840 crimes, including harassment, wounding and burglary, were thought to have been committed by children younger than ten, the age of criminal responsibility.

Nearly half of the alleged offences, about 1,300, involved criminal damage and arson. Undertens were also suspected of committing 66 sex offences, including sexual assaults on children under the age of 13.

Holy SMOKE!, this isnt just "ordinary" crimes of shoplifting your odd sweet. But criminal damage, arson, sex assaults, wounding, burglary.....

Is there a connection between asking students to resit examinations and increased criminality? I do not have any data but I am not surprised if there is at least a mild correlation. No discipline, no reading or writing ability, forced into levels where they are clearly way behind others, disruptive and they start falling out of polite society into this criminal underworld.

Treat the problem where it lies, give them a good education and make sure they get it. You cannot totally remove criminality, but you can surely reduce it, and 3000 feral children running around, add more in their orbit and you have the makings of a classing overtly overliberalised society.

All this to be taken with a grain of piquant salt!!!
