Why is the British Government guaranteeing all the Northern Rock depositors with my money? And why is the British Bankers Association head blaming the credit crisis in the USA for the bad Asset Liability Management and funding mismatch decisions by Northern Rock?
This is why the credibility of the regulator, government, politicians, associations is shot, they lie to cover their incompetence. They lie for political reasons. And they think me as a voter and taxpayer is stupid.
Look around you, you blithering idiots, the fact that other city member financial institutions refused to lend money to Northern Rock means that that institution is at fault. The fact that the public are queuing to withdraw money from the bank means that the public does not believe in your lies.
