A reasonably good if a bit theoritical overview of the demand management process. I have to admit that the financial services industry is much better than this, because if our IT chaps come to me with a plate which is vague, they get it thrown right back. And given the fact that IT is the second largest cost line, we keep a very very beady eye out on it.
Also, if you want transparency, be prepared to own it on the business side and drive it. Do not expect the IT guys to have transparency over spend which YOU in the business want!
I do wish these IT magazines write their articles and then have a business viewpoint appended to it.
All this to be taken with a grain of piquant salt!!!
