Why do you want to know about religion and ethnicity in a census? Read this and wonder. Personally speaking, I see no reason to know about it. The sole reason to know about it would be if there was a civil war, but again, if the Arabs and Africans want to duke it out, then well, here you go with the problem, it would be interesting to find out what the result is?
Ah, ha!, now we understand, see here. The reason why the Arabs do not want to know about religion and ethnicity (which puzzled me, since when did the Arabs suddenly become interested in Secularism?) is because they are actually in a minority and if a proper census is done, their relative demographic weaknesses will be exposed. Fairly typical....
